With the new “a corpse skin for every monster” update to the corpse system in DD, what do I need to do to ensure the corpse skin for a new monster shows up when it dies? New monsters I made have sprites for their corpse state, but when they die it doesn’t show up. Any ideas?
Im not 100% familiar with this, but all corpse files I’ve modified work just fine, maybe its a different story when you try to add a corpse file to a monster that doesnt come with one (like the rabid dogs dogs, or the bounty-hunter hero). I was gonna make a corpse for the taskmaster, but then figured out he didnt need one because he only shows up in the last row with a 3 dogs hunting party, and neither of them leave corpses behind. Maybe I unknowingly dodged a bullet? 😛
As the mod is still a work in progress, I still need to edit out the corpses (they are using stock from the orginal, like, unclean giant corpse in the case of the town razer, skeleton arbalist in case of the brigan arbalist). Im just done doing the corpses for the champion re-colors.
Oh, and just a quick note, in your info file for Deviant_A’s stats and attacks, you must’ve accidentally pasted some of her first attack’s effects string alongside the name of one of her attack’s effects, I am fairly certain the additional text in the file won’t mess with anything but it wouldn’t hurt to snip ‘er out.
Yhea my bad, I was in a hurry and messed up. Its a bit unpolished buts thats not a problem as the deviant (as well as the other champion monsters such as the Skeleton Captain, town-razer etc.) only make their apperance in dungeons from lvl 3-onwards (an by that point they use the _B modifier.(gonna fix it tho, in case someone want to use her in early dungeons as well)
