The Founding Stone. We mentioned them a lot of weeks ago. Hold on….
So the Founding Stones are the starting equipment in Kingdom Death (along with some towels to preserve the survivors’ modesty). They are pieces of cracked and broken stone faces carved into the floor. Sharp jagged fragments that have been wrenched free to be used as weapons. In Kingdom Death they can be used as melee weapons or as one shot – auto hit, auto crit missiles of doom that cannot be recovered after being cast.
There was discussion about having a ranged attack and at some point I mentioned the founding stone. I liked the idea of it marking a target but giving her no abilities that synergised with marked targets. That way she’d be adding a few marks into the game without increasing the marked target synergy monopoly too much.
