Hey AJ,

While I did not necessarily use these specific suggestions – the one’s I used did have some similarities. I did include a Shield Toss ability (Stun and damage 1 enemy). I also used a skill called Aura of Protection (that is the MAA defender skill), but I was planning on making her look like an armored angel type character – so maybe Guardian Angel would be a better skill name for that one.

I got a custom area working per say. I can’t figure out how to get it to show up constantly, and it is very buggy but I got it showing up as a quest every now and then.

I am looking for an artist to help bring this alternative abomination class to life.

I would like to bring it to life as it’s own class (called the monstrosity). The skills will be similar to the Abomination.

Human form
-Manacles is the same
-Beast’s bile changed to crow’s song: a group wide light stress
-Absolute is the same. However I am thinking of changing it.

Beast
-rake named changed to claw
-rage is the same.
-slam changed to feather slice: an attack that can hit target.

I wanted to add a Caw! Sound type attack that stuns… but i didn’t want to drift too far from the Abomination. I am willing to take suggestions on skills and changes.

Oh this one. I believe the original artist mentioned not wanting to give out permission to use their female abomination or female woman at arms because they were using them for a private project that isn’t finished yet. At least that’s what they mentioned in their deviant art comment’s section.

They did give permission for the use of their female crusader as an alternate skin but they’re holding on to the others.

Mechanically what you’re suggesting is fairly sound. I’d just check artistic permissions before going ahead with this.

While the main idea of a Human -> Crowbeast idea is based off his work, I would want an original design and art that would fit the game more then to copy his art over. The PM however is still sent.

Should I keep with the similarities mechanically to the original class or should I just go all out with the changes?

While I’d love to see his crow beast abomination and his woman at arms make it into the game he hasn’t declared what the private project is (he might be looking to mod them into the game himself – we just don’t know).

One of my friends got Darkest Dungeon on GOG – looks like there is sale. He asked about mods and i pointed him to nexus, but latest mods from workshop are not available there. I helped him to get few workshop mods too, got my free beer, but not everyone has such great friend as i.
So i’m a little drunk and very kind today and i thought – GOG users are people too, so maybe our great modders will stop on nexus from time to time and share their latest work?

When my Twilight Knight mod is ready she will appear on the Nexus. She’ll probably become available on the steam workshop as well but I believe she deserves to go up on the Nexus first. It’s supplied me with so many good mods over the years that the least I can do is give a little something back.

Trinkets have now been added. It’s probably quite possible to use default trinket art for most of these so trinket art is a fairly low priority right now.

Founding Stone
Stone face pried from the cracked stone floor.

Sword Wraps
The bandages that she wraps around the sword blade.

Twilight Cloak
Helps to trick the sword into believing she’s giving in to it’s psychopathic urges.

Blue Lantern
Grants her greater stress management but makes her stress less of a wobble and more of a yoyo.

Settlement Chronicle
A detailed chronicle of the original settlement that she came from. It fills her with confidence and courage but also makes her vulnerable because she pays less attention to the danger that surrounds her.

I give her a try in the dungeon. Some suggestion/feed backs.

Skills:
I like her range skills. But I am not sure about the move back to the skill. Feel out of the theme of character, and make her much harder to use.
Also that skill that attack just rank 1 and move her back, feel too weak to use it (so kinda a dead skill mostly). Could buff that to like 150% dmg or something.
Rest seem fine.

Animation: (If possible)
-increase the speed of the loop on walking
-Hope to see a more dynamic combat pose, just lifting her sword seem flat.
-The sword attack feel too “floaty”. Maybe show sword at the end of the strike.
-The shield looks too white. Should be about half black (in shadow).
-Love the shield attack animation and the Fxs.

Her Lay on Hands skill’s healing progression might want to go up half a point every rank instead of a whole one each time as she’s not a main healer. So 1-2 at level 1, 2-2 at level 2 (instead of the current 2-3 at level 2). It might not need it but it feels a little high when you factor everything else in as well.

I made this mod since it just feels off to me that Voice (and sound attacks) are targeted. Anyone within range of the battle should be able to hear it. And to me, since the battles mainly take place in ruined corridors, tunnels, and caves with a small number of combatents, that should be everyone.

Which includes both enemy and hero skill changes.

I am now working on a 3.0 that changes the skills from Melee or Range into “Sound” type attacks. There will be quirks that affect these type of attacks and a disease that makes you immune to them…. this will also make you immune to any friendly sound affect as well.

Ok, I am having an issue if anyone can help. Below is the github for my Test version of my mod here. I tried to make my own .effects file so my mod would be compatible with other mods that edit the .effects file, I can’t get the heroes to read the voices.effects. I tried to see if my changes arn’t working, but the houndmaster will read “VHound Howl 1” when it’s at the bottom of the base.effects and not when it’s in the voice.effects. I tried looking at Heroes unchained since it mods characters already in the game and I can’t tell what I’m doing wrong.
