I posted the same Mod in the Steam Forum, but I wish to see what reaction (or if any reaction at all) I can see here.
…At first, I tried to make a Mod for myself, consisting of what I call Bugfixes. Soon the lines between Bugs and Features, Exploits and Overpoweredness, their Design Failures and my Misunderstanding, … became very vague, and I ended up changing much more than I initially wanted to. Now I’m here to share my success and failure with other players.
I leave a link to Manual and Changelist of this Mod, just because I don’t think many would actually download and try this Mod.
You can download it here if you wish.
This Mod doesn’t do anything which require new texts or artworks. Texts would require localization in order not to be awkward, and I’m no artist so artworks would look very weird.
Problems I tried to fix/workaround:
– Quest Reward screen playing too slow once you get used to it.
– Exploit by stacking +DODGE and/or -ACC.
– Exploit by boosting and spamming Heals.
– Stun-locking, and combatants gaining multiple stacks of Stun Resistance Buff at once. (in one workaround change)
– Underpoweredness of several Buff skills, especially in lower levels.
– Uselessness of -DODGE in lower levels.
– Some classes, especially Houndmaster and Antiquarian, gaining too much HP per armor level.
– Heroes’ Skill Chances shown as 100/110/119/129/139% instead of 100/110/120/130/140%.
– Inconsistency of Monsters and Traps’ Skill Chance progression.
– Some Quirks being strictly better than others.
– Tricks to trivialize some bosses.
– … and a lot more, too specific to list here.
(And some, rather selfish changes, including removals of:)
– Level Lockout and Endgame Grind.
– Heroes losing Trinkets while drinking/gambling.
– Skeletons bleeding.
Other Mods included in the .zip:
– A component of this Mod which hopefully works with the Musketeer (I don’t have a legitimate access to her gameplay, so I cannot test it).
– A separate, independent and optional Mod which disables the horrors in the Hamlet.
